Cole Jester is the Deputy Chief Legal Counsel and Rulemaking Director for Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, where he specializes in legislation and regulation. Cole has worked for the U.S. Air Force, the firm of Friday, Eldridge, & Clark, and the Arkansas Solicitor General’s Office. Cole Clerked for the Honorable Chief Judge R. Lavenski Smith, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Prior to clerking, Cole was a John Marshall fellow for the Claremont Institute and a Fellow for the Heritage Foundation’s clerkship academy, Cole attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Politics and Associate Editor of the Texas Review of Law and Politics. While in law school, Cole served as the hospitality chair for the National Federalist Society Student Symposium. Prior to law school, Cole received a double major in Christian Studies and Political Science at Ouachita Baptist University, where he graduated summa cum lade.
