Article I
One God
We believe in One God, uncreated, almighty, all knowing, infinitely perfect, eternally existing in three equally divine persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
About Engage — Statement of Faith
Six articles of faith: one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Jesus Christ, God incarnate; the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life; the universal Church and the life everlasting; the Bible, the inspired Word of God; and salvation by grace through faith in Christ.
Six articles confess the faith Engage International holds — the historic, biblical faith of the Church. It is the ground of everything we commend, defend, and teach.
The Confession
This is the faith we confess — ancient and biblical , held in common with Christ’s Church across the centuries: six articles, one Gospel .
The Statement
Article I
We believe in One God, uncreated, almighty, all knowing, infinitely perfect, eternally existing in three equally divine persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Article II
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; died and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead.
Article III
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life.
Article IV
We believe in the universal Church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Article V
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testament, is the inspired, authoritative Word of God. The Bible is without error in the original writings, the sufficient and complete revelation of His will for salvation and guides believers in how they should live.
Article VI
We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith in Christ.

An Ancient Confession
If these words sound familiar, they should. Our statement stands in the stream of the Church’s historic creeds — truths Christians have confessed together for nearly two thousand years.
2nd–4th Century
Rooted in the baptismal confessions of the earliest church: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; the forgiveness of sins; the life everlasting.
AD 325
One God, and one Lord Jesus Christ — true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father.
AD 381
The Holy Spirit confessed as “the Lord, the giver of life” — the very words of our third article.
AD 451
Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man — one person in two natures, without confusion and without division.
