A HURTING WORLD

As we look around, we see political, social, economic and racial conflict. Amidst the pain and suffering we see humanity in rebellion, alienated from God, seeking answers, searching in the dark, and in the words of Jesus, sheep without a shepherd. The Number of religious ‘nones’ – those who have no religious affiliation – has grown by nearly 30 million over the past decade. Teens of today are twice as likely to identify as atheist than any other generation before them. In the U.S. alone, suicide and unintentional injuries (primarily from drug overdoses) amount to 45% of deaths for those under the age of 44. Suicide is among the leading causes of death and, among young people, the leading cause of death in many Asian countries.

THE GOSPEL ALONE

The Gospel alone can infuse hope into our hopeless world. Christ alone can bring healing, restoration, reconciliation and transformation. And as disciples of Christ, we must meaningfully engage culture and faithfully proclaim the Gospel. Often, in our postmodern world where reason takes a back seat in our public debates; morality is questioned and truth is relativized. Engage International exists to reach people with the Gospel, train Christians to winsomely share their faith, and equip the church to influence culture. We seek to not only defend and commend the Gospel of Christ but to also drive the cultural conversation in the public square.

Engage International seeks to come alongside the church in its mission to reach people with the gospel and help believers grow in their understanding of God: in his love and his ways.
