Statement of Values

Accountability · Integrity · Excellence · Collaboration

Our values fuel our vision and mission. Because we represent Christ and proclaim His truth, our lives and our ministry must reflect the character of the One we serve.

I · Why accountability?

Stewarding faithfully the responsibility God has entrusted to us, and willingly answering to Him and to one another.

Engage International was born from a calling to proclaim the Gospel, engage those who question the Christian faith, and equip Christians to know what they believe, understand why they believe it, and live faithfully in the world.

Such a calling carries a weighty responsibility. Because we represent Christ and proclaim His truth, we believe our lives and our ministry must reflect the character of the One we serve. We therefore seek to walk in a manner worthy of our calling, willingly submitting ourselves to appropriate accountability before God and one another.

Both individually and organizationally, we seek to cultivate lives marked by truthfulness, humility, honesty, integrity, teachability, and a willingness to receive correction. Accountability is not merely a safeguard against failure; it is part of faithful Christian stewardship and an expression of our desire to honor Christ in all that we do.

II · Why integrity?

Living in a manner worthy of the Gospel we proclaim.

In our work

Truth is not only something we proclaim; it must shape the way we carry out our ministry. Sound doctrine, faithful practice, and godly character belong together. We therefore believe that how we pursue our mission matters as much as what we seek to accomplish.

In every aspect of our work, we strive to act with honesty, wisdom, transparency, faithfulness, and grace, remembering that the work is Christ's and that we are stewards of what He has entrusted to us.

In our lives

The Gospel we proclaim with our words must also be evident in the lives we lead. As ambassadors for Christ, we desire to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of His calling, never allowing our character to undermine the message we commend to others.

We therefore seek lives marked by holiness, humility, truthfulness, faithfulness, and integrity. Our aim is not merely to protect the reputation of a ministry, but to honor Christ, whose name we bear and whose Gospel we proclaim.

III · Why excellence?

Pursuing excellence for the glory of God.

We pursue excellence not for recognition, reputation, or the praise of others, but as an expression of faithful stewardship before God. Whatever He entrusts to us, we desire to do with care, diligence, wisdom, and wholehearted devotion.

For us, excellence concerns not only the quality of our work but also the motives from which that work proceeds. We want our service to arise from love for God, reverence for His Word, love for people, and a desire for His glory rather than our own.

We therefore seek to bring our best to the work God has given us, depending at every step upon the wisdom, grace, and power of His Spirit.

IV · Why collaboration?

Serving alongside the Body of Christ to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples.

Engage International does not understand its mission in isolation from the Church. Christ has entrusted the Church with the task of making disciples and bearing witness to Him in the world, and we exist to serve that larger mission.

We therefore seek to come alongside local churches and fellow Christian ministries, contributing the particular gifts, experience, and resources God has entrusted to us. We engage questioners with the truth, beauty, and credibility of the Gospel, while helping Christians grow in their understanding of the faith, respond thoughtfully to the questions of our age, and bear faithful witness to Christ.

The Body of Christ is characterized not by independence but by interdependence. God has given different gifts to different members for the good of the whole. We therefore value partnership over competition, recognizing that we can accomplish far more for the sake of the Gospel when we learn from one another, strengthen one another, and labor together for the glory of Christ.
