Sam Raju is the Founder and President of Engage International, an apologetics ministry committed to reaching a skeptical generation with the truth and beauty of the Gospel. As an itinerant speaker, Sam has addressed audiences in churches, universities, and secular forums across multiple countries, speaking on some of life’s most pressing intellectual and existential questions—including the existence of God, the problem of suffering, the relationship between science and faith, and the historicity of the resurrection.
Before founding Engage International, Sam served as an itinerant Speaker for RZIM (Ravi Zacharias International Ministries), where he traveled extensively to equip believers and thoughtfully engage skeptics by addressing objections and exploring life’s most challenging questions.
Sam’s passion for apologetics was forged through personal adversity. After facing a rare and aggressive form of cancer, he was compelled to wrestle with profound questions about suffering, meaning, and the goodness of God. That journey now shapes his message, enabling him to connect with both skeptics and believers with authenticity, compassion, and conviction.
Academically, Sam brings both intellectual depth and interdisciplinary insight. He earned a Master’s in Psychology with highest honors and pursued pre-doctoral studies in Rehabilitation Psychology before completing a Master’s in Philosophy with honors from Biola University. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society and the American Philosophical Association, and an affiliate of the American Psychological Association.
Known for his ability to make complex ideas accessible and engaging, Sam equips believers to think biblically across every area of life, confidently defend their faith, and engage culture with clarity, compassion, and conviction—while thoughtfully inviting skeptics to encounter the truth and transformative power of Christ.
